I feel so grateful that in my work as a creative entrepreneur, running my luxury homeware brand Chez Beccy, I have learnt so much about myself and connected with my true inner self, in a way that I didn’t know was possible.
Did you know over 90 percent of the decisions we make are unconscious? These decisions are made by our subconscious mind trying to keep us safe. This is why we get stuck. We make the same decisions we’ve made before and the cycle goes on.
Here are 10 things you implement can do to start to changing your life.
1- Morning routine. Get up on your terms, not because the dog has jumped on you or your children drag you out of bed. Wake up before everyone else, drink lots of water and get some exercise. I go for a walk everyday and it’s really special to be up and out before everyone else. It’s my time.
2-Make time for mediation and reflective thinking. I do this after my walk. When I started to mediate my mind was all over the place and it took awhile for me to feel I got the hang of it! Keep doing it, and you will find what works for you. There are some great apps to help you, like Headspace or Insight timer.
3- Bedtime routine. Just as you need a good morning routine, you need a good bedtime routine. Go to bed so you can get the sleep you need. Give yourself time to unwind with no screen time. I like to light a scented candle and have a warm bath with natural bath salts. Scents like Rose and Lavender are really good to help you relax and sleep well.
4- Can you find 5 minutes everyday to take some time out? Sit with a cup of tea somewhere quiet and just be. That doesn’t mean looking at you phone or being on Facebook!
5- It’s O.K. to ask for help! It’s so easy to feel that we have to be superwomen, do everything for everyone without breaking a sweat. Ask for the help you need. Other people wont know you are struggling until
you say something. Explain clearly what you need. Others may think they are helping you but it is actually in completely the wrong way!
6- You don’t have to ask for permission. We are so conditioned to ask for permission, sometimes we don’t even realise this is what we are waiting for. You can make your own decisions you don’t need to ask for permission. You have it already!
7-Do something fun. So often we put ourselves at the bottom of our list of priorities. Take time to do what makes you happy. This is it, we are living our lives now. Don’t wait for tomorrow.
8-Be mindful of your energy levels. Our lives go in cycles, especially as women. Notice the ebbs and flows of your energy and be kind to yourself.
9- Get out in nature, go to the park, take a walk in the countryside, breath fresh air. Being outside is really good for the soul
10-Take care of your body. Drink lots of water and eat well, so your body can function well too. You deserve it!
Notice how you you feel and begin to connect with your true inner self. This begin to live your most beautiful life.
